How to Find Peace

SpiritualityHow to Find Peace

Well hello there adventurer, so you’re on the quest looking for that elusive and mystical peace huh?

Well let me take you on a little adventure.

The Perfect Day

Today I was excited because last night an insight had come to me to write this article. Fast forward to the next morning and I’m on my computer ready to go guns blazing. Then it happened.

My Dad comes into my room he’s like I need you to do something for me (that’s gonna take an hour of your time). Well there goes my concentrated writing time, but I marched on. Then I thought damnit, I had just put tea on the stove now I’m gonna have to take it with me while I’m dropping off my cousin and running an errand for my Dad. No problem I thought, but damnit, now I’m not gonna be able to have my morning tea and vape session. So the problems continued to pile on. Very peaceful eh? I was on the hold with a shipping company this whole time about an Amazon package I had returned, just as I was about to leave to go do my stuff, the agent chimed in “sorry we are unable to find your package call us in 9 days and we’ll launch an investigation”. Great, just great. So now I’m rushing through my morning, trying to get all my ducks in a row, and this ever elusive peace isn’t even present in my life. And on the day that was supposed to be my perfect day.

Where is Peace?

The point of telling you all this, is that, as it says “if you’re looking for that moment to cross the road when it’s not busy, that perfect moment where no cars are passing (life isn’t being life)”, well you’re never gonna find it. Unless you’re planning on leaving society and joining a monastery up in the mountains to become a monk to attain that blissful nirvana, and hell, you might not even find it there tell you hwat. Because you see, as much as people try to mystify peace, none of us are ever gonna attain that mystical elusive peace – in the conventional sense.

I don’t know about you, but I’m a normal person, I do normal people things, I have normal people problems. For me peace isn’t this elusive mystical heavenly gift sent from God. Nah man, peace is what I just did right now, dealing with the bullshit as it comes, rolling with the blows, and finally when the dust settles, sitting here in this parking lot with my tea I bought and my vape, and as I take that first sip of tea. That’s peace – for me. For you it might look different. You can find peace everywhere if you know where to look for it. And guess what, its attainable, it’s not far off in the distance. You can have it right now. Just take a really deep breath, and for one moment, just one moment, picture yourself letting go of your worries. Exhale the bullshit, inhale the goodshit. Naw mean?

The Reality of Peace

Peace to me, isn’t this illusory magical thing. It’s attainable here and now. In the everyday hustle of life. Sure there’s ways to go about that can increase your peace (we’ll get into that). But I for one, don’t believe in suppressing my emotions. If you’re mad, be mad, just don’t hurt anyone. If you’re sad, cry. Be human, stop running away from yourself. Be *at* peace with being human. Because that’s all we really got eh? We’re all just human man. And I don’t know about you, I don’t know about these people that just claim to be at peace all the time. Like what are you, an alien? Nothing ever upsets you?

And trust me, nothing much really gets me going either. But life is less about fighting the current and more about learning to flow with it. Be water my friend, be water. You put water into a cup it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle it becomes the bottle. Now water can flow, or it can crash. Be water my friend, be water.

How to Really Find Peace

Don’t worry I’m not gonna leave you hanging like some gurus do, here at tetra we believe in providing actionable insight. Now of course as I mentioned everlasting peace is elusive. Life is always gonna have problems no matter which way you spin it. But there are some things can raise your base level of peace. And I will share them with you here.

  • Meditation App: Waking Up – I know ya’ll wanna up your zen, and this might just help you know.
  • Life Planner: Intelligent Change – ‘Cuz how you gonna have zen if your life is all over the place?

Well those are definitely the bare essentials, but I know you, you’re not satisfied with the bare essentials, you wanna take your spiritual game to the next level. Well below I got some sacred tools to help you up your game.

  • Incense Burner – ‘Cuz if you wanna attract good energies/spirits your sanctuary cant be smelling like a dump.
  • Spiritual Necklace – Guaranteed to work 100% of the time 50% of the time, plus ain’t no harm carrying a good luck charm with you eh?
  • Spiritual Calendar – Look I don’t care what you believe, just believe in something man. Buddha, YHWH, Jesus, Allah, Brahma, Waheguru, The Universe you got many options my friend.
  • Sacred Geometry – I love math, and of course you should too, I believe math is the language of God. 2+2 might equal 5 in quantum physics, but let’s not go there for now.
  • Spiritual Bracelet – I personally got one bracelet on each wrist, I don’t know, can’t lose if you’re playing for both teams eh?
  • Prayer Mala – Nothing says spiritual like a mala around your neck, just try to be a bit respectful when you got it on bruh. That’s sacred.

Anyways, if that’s not enough to satisfy your spiritual hunger. I also got a youtube channel that you can check out, where I write shitty poems and share my thoughts no one in real life wants to hear. Plus you might catch a glimpse of who’s the face behind these rants.

For today, that’s all I got. If you wanna stay up to date on my rants, reflections, and lifestyle tips subscribe to my newsletter – it’s free and there won’t be any spam.

Peace ✌️
